Extra Peace of Mind
If you are like many Toyota customers, you plan to keep your vehicle for a long, long time. This creates a growing demand for protection from the potential cost of major repairs after the standard factory warranty period.
That's why Toyota developed extended service coverage programs - Vehicle Service Agreements (VSAs) - a series of vehicle protection plans for both new and used vehicles which provide coverage beyond your factory warranty. With three levels of coverage available, you may select the plan that meets your specific needs.

Basic Coverage: All components other than normal wear and maintenance items are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles.
Powertrain Coverage: Your engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, seatbelts and air bags are covered for 5 years/60,000 miles.
Rust-Through Coverage: Corrosion perforation of sheet metal is covered for 60 months/unlimited miles.
Federal Emission Coverage: Components under the federal emission defect warranty are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles and specified major emission control components are covered for 8 years/80,000 miles. Specified major emission control components under emission performance warranty are also covered for 8 years/80,000 miles. In addition, emission performance warranty is applicable for 24 months/24,000 miles in states and local jurisdictions that require a periodic EPA-approved inspection and maintenance program.
California Emission Control Coverage: In California and any other state that adopts California emission warranty provisions, performance warranty and defect warranty coverage is applicable for 36 months/50,000 miles, and specific control devices are covered for 7 years/70,000 miles.
Accessory Warranty: Toyota-approved accessories are covered for 12 months, regardless of mileage, or for the remainder of any new vehicle warranty (except for car covers, which are covered for 12 months).
Transportation Assistance: As an added benefit, 2001 Toyota vehicle owners may be eligible for transportation assistance if their vehicle must be kept overnight for warrantable repairs.
Hybrid-related Component Coverage: Prius's hybrid-related components, including the HV battery, battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter, are covered for 8 years / 100,000 miles.

Toyota Platinum Protection is the highest level of coverage available for new vehicles. It covers so many components it is easier to list what is not covered.
Toyota Gold Protection provides coverage for additional key components above and beyond Powertrain, for both new and used vehicles.
Toyota Powertrain Protection provides coverage on key components (engine, transmission and axle-assembly) for used vehicles.
Ask about our Used Vehicle Service Agreement plans if you are considering a used vehicle purchase. Please note that the used vehicle plans are available through your Toyota dealership only at the time of used vehicle purchase.
Guaranteed Auto Protection Plan: When financing or leasing, you are responsible to make your payments for the full term of the contract - regardless of what happens to the vehicle. Toyota Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) program is designed to provide affordable protection for you and your family from financial burden if your vehicle is declared a total loss.
If your vehicle is totaled, the net insurance payout is often less than what you owe on the outstanding retail or lease contract. This is where the GAP coverage comes in - it will cover that difference, or deficiency "gap," between your vehicle's market value and the balance on your contract.**
With Toyota Guaranteed Auto Protection program, any deficiency balance** is automatically paid - including the insurance deductible up to $500 (available in most states). Our goal is to provide you with the kind of protection that takes the worry out of your Toyota ownership. For additional convenience, GAP can be added to your monthly payment so you don't have to write another check.
GAP coverage is available only at the time of vehicle purchase or lease (there is no "window" period) on all new Toyota vehicles and on used Toyota vehicles 1995 model year and newer with fewer than 55,000 miles.

Prepaid Maintenance Program: Keeping your Toyota in top operating condition is the best way to truly protect your investment. In fact, lease customers are required under the terms of their contract to service the vehicle regularly. Why not avoid potential increases in the price of regular maintenance by paying for those services up front? Toyota Auto Care prepaid maintenance program is available in two levels of coverage: Premium and Classic. Both cover regularly scheduled maintenance specific to the term and service mileage plan, which includes oil and filter changes, lubrication of key chassis parts and full 19-point inspections at predetermined intervals. And, with factory-trained technicians using Genuine Toyota Parts, you'll know your Toyota is being properly maintained.
Credit Insurance: One of the most important features of Credit Insurance is to provide financial security in case the unexpected happens. While you can't predict the future, it is best to be prepared for it. With Credit Insurance you are able to help keep your family and your credit rating secure in the event you become disabled or die before the retail contract or lease obligation is met.
Credit Life Insurance: The insurance company will pay the covered balance due on your retail contract or lease (up to specified limits) should death occur while you are covered during the term of insurance. Joint coverage is available (only one benefit is payable under joint Life Insurance).
Credit Disability Insurance: The insurance company will pay the covered balance due on your retail contract or lease (up to specified limits) should disability occur while you are covered during the term of insurance. Hospitalization is not required for payment. It covers injuries that occur at and outside of work. Disability may be retroactive for 7, 14 or 30 days, upon acceptance of your application (waiting period may vary from state to state).
